My Mission

Guiding others toward greater consciousness and well being, through practical awareness techniques, ancient wisdom, and a mindful connection to the present moment.

I believe we are here to create with integrity and humility, share our wisdom, help others, and respect all of Creation.

My own curiosity and personal awakening through the experience of burnout, led me to deepen my understanding of consciousness, energy, spirituality, and ancient wisdom teachings. And after many years on this pathless path, I have had the privilege to learn, (and continue to learn), from a variety of master teachers to whom I am eternally grateful.

I have been extremely humbled to realize the more I searched, the louder the call for stillness. For me, this concept is captured so eloquently by Rumi’s words; “What you are seeking is seeking you,” for it is the present moment where the magical and magnificent gift of being fully alive emerges.

I look forward to walking with you.

Healing My Sole In The Desert

In and around the city of Palm Springs there are numerous breathtaking hikes. A recent favourite area of mine is called Indian Canyons – the sacred land of the Agua Caliente band of Cahuilla Indians. On one of the hikes, a friend and I inadvertently added three miles to our planned 6 mile hike. The […]

The Runner Man Glass Sculpture by Costas Varotsos

Strength In Fragility: Mind Your Edges

This powerful sculpture is aptly titled “Dromeas” meaning Runner, in Greek. Made of glass shards and iron, Dromeas is 12 metres tall, depicts speed, and stands in a busy part of central Athens, Greece. This incredible piece of work was created by artist Costas Varotsos. For me, this sculpture is an extremely appropriate metaphor as […]

Resilient Expansion

I used to believe resiliency was related to my ability to recover quickly, to be less sensitive and to push through suffering. However, over the years I have come to realize my interpretation couldn’t be further from the truth. Resiliency is an expansive softening – more fluid vs elastic. I believe the experience of stress […]

A New Stage of Growth

Cicadas take between two to seventeen years to emerge from the ground as nymphs. Once above ground they climb a tree and begin to moult. The moulting process takes about an hour. Then these remarkable creatures continue to live above ground for five to six weeks. Amazing really. All those years underground – gathering, preparing, […]

Embodied Vitality

I wish to acknowledge the traditional territory and the traditional keepers of the land upon which I practice medicine and live. Today the meeting place of Toronto (from the Haudenosaunee word Tkaronto) is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and I am grateful to have the opportunity to work and live on this land.
